this week Victor and I come back after a long time of not doing episodes for this podcast. We are planning on putting out more consistently new episodes for anyone who likes to listen to us.
This time we discuss the richness of the first verses of James (and James in general, since it is such a rich book full of compact wisdom). James starts out with something serious: trials and the writer makes a bold statement:
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
James 1: 2,3 (ESV)
all joy! That isn’t something I think of when I hear somebody talk about how he or she has been tested. But James puts it clearly: let steadfastness has its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
If that isn’t some Bible mystery, than I don’t know what is. Enjoy the episode and God bless.
